I was up late last night reading some old bodybuilding dot com articles…
I cam across one from Greg Plitt.
If you don’t know who Greg Plitt is I gotta say he is one of my favorite fitness model/physique guys to follow.
Greg not only is the most famous fitness/cover model…
He is also a guy that believes in balance and still living a fun life.
Check out his youtube channel for a shit ton of motivation.
While reading the article I came across a section were Greg was talking about cardio.
He touched on a point I feel is often forgotten in the fitness industry…
Your fat loss is determined by your heart rate.
If you workout too intensely and let your heart rate get too high you skip past the fat burning zone and go right into burning muscle.
Here is what I recommend for you to look amazing for the ladies, burn a shit ton of fat, and keep the most amount of muscle.
1) Read this article I wrote about Walking to get ripped.
2) Strive to keep your heart rate at 65% of your max. For most people this seems to be the sweet spot for optimal fat burning…
Now the fun part.
You have to keep this level for a minimum of 30 minutes to see any result in the mirror.
This is not hard and it certainly isn’t intense.
But damn it is effective.
so I urge you to give it a try.
hit that heart rate 3 days a week for 45 min to an hour…
And it is only a matter of time before you see pure awesomeness in the mirror.
