AGE’s are a huge promoter of aging in the body as well as the beginnings of diseases like diabetes, heart disease and many others.

AGE’s can be either in the food you eat or formed within your body.

In today’s society fiber is often overlooked and the average American isn’t consuming near enough.

In the bodybuilding circles Fiber is also an often overlooked factor in achieving low body fat levels.

As a male you should aim to eat 10-14 grams of fiber per 1,000 calories per day consumed.

Goal #4) High Levels of Protein:

I am gonna assume you are no stranger to the benefits of protein but just to give you a quick refresher…

1. Your muscle are largely composed of protein thus you will need a constant supply of protein in your body to continue to develop and build. Without it you will have a difficult time sustaining your current muscle mass as well as not augmenting new growth.

1. Protein helps rebuild muscle cells caused from regular weightlifting. When you lift you are breaking down the muscles and in order to rebuild and repair them you need an adequate supply of protein.

1. Protein can help you burn excess body fat. By increasing your protein consumption you increasing the speed at which your metabolism functions. This then causes you to burn more calories.

In most cases you will have a hard time getting adequate amounts of protein from just real food.

I recommend keeping your testosterone levels highest by consuming 1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight so if you weigh 180 lbs you should eat 180 grams of protein daily.

Goal #6) Moderate Carb Levels:

Now the trend these days is to stick a really low carb diet. I am not gonna sell you on why carbs are good or bad but I wanted to give you the option. So if you are following a low carb diet feel free to omit any of the carb ingredients as you see fit.

Just keep in mind that carbs are energy 🙂

Below you will find some sample smoothie recipes that hit all of the goals listed above I included a few of my favorites (feel free to experiment on your own, just be sure to use ingredients I laid out) .

As you will see a lot of the ingredients are the same as they offer so much nutritional value I like to keep the recipes similar in nature as it is is easy to buy ingredients.

Each recipe can be consumed daily as a meal replacement or in addition to your current diet. I personally like to eat them at breakfast. You will also see I have broken down the macro nutrients and calorie count for each smoothie.
